I sold dresses just like this at the dress shoppe I worked at, my very first job other that at my family's Inn. They came out around 1980 and very very stylish in various fabrics in this cut and a jumper cut. I had several, as I got an employee discount and libras live for clothes!
I was so thrilled to find this one in mint condition- really, looks unworn and the shiny fabric makes it even more retro exquisite! Oooo la la Sasson! What a magnificent dress! This is a size vintage 10/11 vintage you can see it's more like a size 6 today. The waist which pulls up over your hips expands to 36", so your hips could be a tab bigger and squeeze by probably- the skirt is obviously full. The shoulder measurement is approximately 15-16" and the bust is approximately 36/38" under the arm and meant to be blousy.
The dress is belted and a bit fudgable, but you must be able to clear the 36" waist either over your head or seems better- climbing in: ) This dress is best on a thin person, as I have several others cut for curvier figures too💗
