This choker necklace signed "Weiss" on the clasp identifies it as a piece of desirable vintage costume jewelry from the Albert Weiss company, a respected American brand known for its high-quality rhinestone creations.

This Specific Necklace
This necklace, with its clear crystal rhinestones, swag design, and pear-shaped drops, is a classic example of a mid-20th-century Weiss piece, likely dating from the 1950s or 1960s. The specific "Weiss" mark in block letters (without a copyright symbol or "N.Y.") was used starting around 1951. It’s Hollywood Glamour style is a real head turner. This necklace is dazzling. The Rhinestone Chain measures approximately 15 inches with the swag pendant hanging down from it, so it really does wear around the neck area. I am a mature woman and medium to large build (5’9” tall) and thought when I did the measure it might be too small. It fit me comfortably and it is adjustable for smaller necks. See all of my photos. This piece appears collected and unworn- maybe that one time and cherished. It is an estate find and single family owned from New York. How beautiful it will look when it’s new owner finds it and the magic continues!
