Vintage Ralph Lauren Nautical Blue And White Striped Cotton Knit Dress Size Large - it’s a vintage large though so more like a full Medium ; )
This 100% Soft nicely weighted cotton knit casual designer dress by Ralph Lauren - Lauren Jeans Company- is in excellent vintage condition. The dress has little to no signs of wear - only one place of the belt began to deteriorate from age and it can be turned to be unnoticed- you could probably come up with a cleaver way up have it repaired or bring it to your favorite cobbler, or simply- wear a nice rope belt- as I substituted in one of my renderings (beach picnic group). I purchased this thinking I might get around to it or bring it to Maine - from a lady in NY who worked for RL through the 80s-90s and said she had oodles she never or rarely got around to wearing and she was (like we all do) larger now and ready to part with some - we had a fun visit and i bought a few pieces. This is a great dress- and I thought/ since “coastal grandma” is so on trend with the younger generation- I am so excited that the Gen Z and M and others are discovering the individuality of wearing vintage and coordinating their own style with vintage pieces and that they are environmentally aware and not such a disposable generation, as well. be still my heart, and surely worth listing more treasures! always watch for my sales (I love having fun!) and like and follow my shoppe to get their alerts! and please feel free to ask questions.
This is a great dress and the knit is heavy enough to wear spring - fall on the east coast - preppies are fruggle and like economic functional clothing! this dress could be worn to class, cute for work, darling casual date, brunch with friends, of course the easy one- vacation! but it’s really just a fun dress- add a beret and suddenly it’s French - lol actually super cute with a red beret!
